Sunshine Travel RV Resort in Vero Beach, Florida was a little bit pricier than what we try to spend but comes jam-packed with a ton of amenities. We had heard some potential horror stories about the Thousand Trails program so we went into this with some hesitation. After staying there, we can say that we didn’t experience any of the negativity that we had been hearing about.
There are quite a few full-time residents in the park either in RVs or mobile homes. Generally, when we get to a place that has full-time residents, it tends to be a much quieter experience as we are around more full-timers and fewer weekend warriors. This was definitely true here as the community was on the older side.
We took advantage of some of their amenities when our friends came to visit us. We played a round of mini golf, threw some horseshoes, and played some bocce ball! There was also a pool there, but the weather wasn’t quite warm enough to spend some time in it. They also have shuffleboard tournaments and lots of organized activities that looked like a blast!
