The Pool at Playa Escondida

What is it Like to Stay in the Bachelor in Paradise Hotel, Playa Escondida?

Located about 15 minutes outside of downtown Sayulita, Playa Escondida is where they film the smash hit reality show Bachelor in Paradise. While you may be familiar with the show’s version of the hotel, things are a bit different when they aren’t filming. Gone are a lot of the cabanas you see the contestants snuggling on and, in their place, are more of the traditional beach chairs you would expect to see at any beach-side hotel. However, there are still many of the staples from the show such as the luxurious pools and hot tubs as well as, yes, Wells’ bar.

Staying in the Ixchel Penthouse

As one of the more luxurious rooms, the Ixchel Penthouse is a rustic, open-air room, complete with a dining area overlooking the ocean. Most importantly, the room comes with your own private jacuzzi which is set back behind the dining area, allowing you to relax in privacy all while giving you the most stunning view of the sunsets that take place just in front of you. You can easily fit two people in the jacuzzi or relax by yourself with a glass of wine as you listen to the sounds of the waves crashing on the beach below you. Finally, a plush, king-sized bed awaits you at the end of the night so that you can wake up refreshed and ready to take on the next day.

Either way, you’re going to be treated to some of the freshest ingredients as everything is prepared right on-site, utilizing all of the local produce grown in Mexico. Relaxation

If the food, drink, pools, and jacuzzis aren’t enough relaxation for you, you can take advantage of the on-site massage services and get yourself a massage right on the beach. Enclosed by curtains, you still get to experience the sounds of the waves while allowing yourself a moment of zen-like privacy. They also offer couples massages in case you find, or bring, your love to paradise. If you’re lucky, you can also spot humpback whales just off the shore!
