Back when we were getting ready to buy our RV and live the full time RV life, we thought we had it all figured out.  We were going to...

Living the Full-Time RV Lifestyle Isn’t All Fun and Games

From Hayden:  My family is currently off on a wild adventure overseas in Croatia and Ireland and I have SERIOUS FOMO (fear of missing out.) This whole post might come across as a “pity party” but I think some of these feelings are worth sharing. Living the full-time RV lifestyle isn’t all fun and games. How We Downsized From A House To An RV

Now that we’ve been living in our RV for over 8 months, it’s time to look back and reflect on how this whole process began and how we progressed from living in a 2200+ square foot home in Austin, Texas to living in our 36 foot long travel trailer.   Even before we first started dating, our conversations revolved around eco-friendly housing, tiny...

Lake Pleasant Regional Park, Arizona

We arrived on a Sunday during Presidents Day weekend, so the campsites were all booked up until Monday. Luckily, they offer primitive camping (no hookups) in a parking lot right on the lake at the end of the boat launch area. We were meeting up with friends who were already parked and set up. We pulled in and got out of the car after a VERY long 2 days, covering 800...

Our first full day in the RV

Well, we’ve done it. We’ve packed all of our belongings into the RV, set aside everything else that’s going into storage and donated the rest. We’re now at our first stopping point where we will be for the next 3 months, give or take a few days, where we have some travel commitments. So far, things are great! We already hit our first learning...

We Did It!!!

We did it! Yesterday we purchased a new truck and picked up the trailer! We got an F-150, 3.5L w/ Eco-boost which will pull our trailer just fine.

There will certainly be a learning curve for towing that thing, it’s a beast! After some time and practice, we will be comfortable with how it handles and will be flying down the road in no time.

Squatters

We have taken the initiative to start selling all of our belongings, which has left us basically squatting in our very large house. The animals are all a little nervous, as they watch us carry large pieces of furniture out of the house, never to be seen again. Some of the cats have made a game out of it, playing king of the castle on top of mattresses lining the...
