Hayden stumbled upon Beerhaus while looking for new places to check out on HappyCow. This restaurant is tucked behind New York New York in a place called “The Park.” Stepping into the area, we immediately got more of a Portland or Austin vibe and definitely felt like we were miles away from the strip.
The restaurant is an open air concept and most of the tables have some sort of games that you can play while you’re waiting for your food. We took this opportunity to get in a couple of rounds of Jenga. All of the Jenga blocks had messages written on them so we found an empty spot and made a shameless plug for veganvoyagers.com. They also had an outdoor game area that had bags, ping pong, and shuffleboard to pass the time.
This place was an incredible find and we’re glad that we were able to sit down and have a quick bite to eat there. If you’re looking for a spot near the strip but without all of the craziness of casinos, we definitely recommend sitting down and enjoying a bite and a drink here
What we ordered
Vegan City Dog- Brat, spicy mustard, kraut, & relish, poppy-seed bun. Hayden loves everything about mustard, kraut, and relish- which are on Aaron’s “definitely won’t eat” list. This dog was so good! Great flavor and totally hit the spot. Could have eaten another one!
Vegan Chipotle Dog- Chipotle brat, tomato jam, vegan mayo, poppy-seed bun. For a guy who does NOT like tomatoes, Aaron sure had no problems eating the tomato jam on top of this dog. It brought a nice level of sweetness over top the spiciness of the chipotle brat.
French fries- We both ordered a side of hand cut fries and they were some of the better french fries we’ve had in a while. They were nice and big, super crispy, and with just the right amount of salt on them. Exactly how you would want fries to be.
